Home Building & Savings Co., Old South End
This window, along Segur, still has the original grating. I'm not sure if all the windows were like this, or if this one was just particularly close to the vault.
"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

My mom & dad took their first home loan out there.
It was in 1947 and it was for $8,000; I think that I still have the payment book ;-)
