"Refuge Holy Tabernacle", Old South End

This is really quite nice if you can ignore what's been done to the top of the tower. It's on Segur, a few blocks off Broadway.
It's in very good shape, but could use a bit of extra attention.

The windows seem to be of high quality.
Someone seems to have gotten a bit out of hand with the paint.
The brickwork in that arch is very well done. Reminds me of the doors at Immaculate Conception.
The stone arch has a heavily weathered German inscription. Appears to have been built by a German Methodist ( Didn't know there were any. ) congregation in 1874. There's an extra word before "kirche", but I wasn't able to make it out.

it appears the folks there don't know what straight lines are either. I'd like to see an early picture of that place.
