NOTHING else in Toledo quite measures up to the Cathedral! But I think Monroe St. UM is absolutely gorgeous too. The place is enormous; the current sanctuary, from 1955, was built back-to-front onto their old (1925) church. Of course this isn't their original building -- a log cabin. Monroe St. UM (not Salem, not Warren AME) is the oldest active Protestant congregation in Toledo, founded in 1825.
"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

It's Toledo, so I shouldn't complain. But I don't see this as a masterpiece.
I think it's absolutely gorgeous. No, it's not the Cathedral, but it certainly is a beautiful structure.

Beautiful photos, Jeffrey, both inside and out!
