spent a little time visiting his home as a youngster - the old log cabin at the park ... and a lot of time at the swimming pool there.

Do you know Larry Michaels, Pastor at Martin Luther Lutheran Church? He wrote a book about Peter Navarre. Also, he is a huge East Toledo History buff. His church is awesome. I don't know if you've been there, but if you haven't you must contact him. The church is a lot like St. John's and St. Lucas. Also, I am a "long distance member" of Bethel Lutheran, and I am good friends with the church sec'y. If you ever need to get in to take pictures of Bethel, let me know - I think I could arrange that. I'm glad you mentioned that. I'd read one of Michaels' books before, but hadn't known about the one on Navarre.
I'm very impressed with Bethel, so I may take you up on that, depending on weather and health.
