It's a common folk style. You used to be able to find them in any town with narrow lots. Johnstown has lots as narrow as any I've seen. I was raised downriver from Johnstown and have a lot of memories of the place. Spectacular setting, good old buildings ( Though few are pre-1889, for obvious reasons. ), and some of the worst newer buildings on earth. ( Triumph of the utilitarian. )
