I remember sitting on those terraced lawn areas in the late 60s and 70s to watch the 4th of July Fireworks when I was a child. It provided a fabulous view of the fireworks over downtown.
Do people still congregate there to watch firework displays?
"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

How come there's never anybody in the parks?
Because I avoid them at high-traffic hours. These were taken on a Sunday evening.
