Seems to be a banner day for nincompoopery in Northwest Ohio. Have a look at THIS ACCOUNT of the Great Ice Fishing Fiasco. Pay particular attention to the real winner who said "we weren't in any danger." Pardon me, but if they weren't in any danger why did someone end up dead and the rescue operation end up costing $20,000.00? I wholeheartedly agree with the sheriff and police chief quoted in TODAY'S BLADE .

Of course, no analysis of Northwest Ohio dipshitery could be complete without a mention of the brain dead morons of WSPD. I think THIS ARTICLE misses the mark. There are two reasons why the cutting edge media known as AM radio has been abandoned to the yapping of libertarian/pseudo-conservative blowhards. First, the sort of whiney permanent adolescents who like that sort of wanking are the only ones who haven't moved past the 50's world of AM. Second, those of us who didn't have our development arrested at the age of fourteen know how to find commentery online, unlike the average listener of WSPD, who, from the sound of things, seem unlikely to have mastered anything more complicated than a ball-peen hammer.

Thanks for the article on AM radio, didn't see it. I listen to WSPD sometimes because at least it's local, but they do rant continuously. To be honest, I haven't taken the time to find a local website to keep tabs on what's going on besides the Blade...
