I was excoriated greatly during the recent campaign for repeatedly admonishing some of the republicans masquerading as Catholics to put their trust in God, and not in man (or Sarah Palin).
The principle still holds -- trust God, not man (in this case, Obama). It is impossible to participate in politics (in other words, the world) without being contaminated -- no matter what some bishops say. The Amish have a point.
I'm so sick of the snarling theocrats who disrespect our freedoms with their God's-party and Rome-ahead-of-the-Constitution crap, that I don't care how popular I am with that bottom-feeder bunch.
"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

I know what it's like. Didn't make myself very popular either.
