There's one of the problems I've been noticing lately. Everyone compares our situation to the past without noticing that the world's a very different place.

Pardon my cynicism, but how much difference will it actually make?
Today, even the Columbus Dispatch (traditional Republican) had a large feature on the resemblance of the current economic situation to 1932.
