St. Lucas' Lutheran Church, Old South End
There was an art exhibit at St. Lucas' yesterday, perfectly timed for a stop on my way back from Mass. I knew if I made the right noises, I'd get an opportunity to have a look around. I'm glad I did. Overall, I'd say this is the most beautiful Protestant church interior I've seen in Toledo.
I'm afraid neither of the pictures I took does justice to this wonderful font. It's a gem.
"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

I agree that it probably IS the most beautiful Protestant church in Toledo ... but that altar at Salem still can't be beat. ;)
I agree completely, and First Congregational has the best windows. Best overall doesn't necessarily mean best in every detail.
Hmmm ... I'll add First Congregational to my tour list!
