Stay Tuned
Tony Packo's
Salem Lutheran Church, Vistula Historic District
I'm curious about the painting, which appears to be the Ascension. Looks like the style of the German religious painters of the 19th century. Does anyone know who did it?
Whodunnit?
The old Masonic Temple, on Broadway, in the Old South End, is an impressive building with a lot of good stonework. I'll post more pictures tomorrow, but this has me curious. The Masonic calipers symbol, in the arch over the main entrance has been seriously obliterated. It's too high, and way too painstaking to be vandalism. It had to be done deliberately. Reminds me of what the Egyptians at the last stages of the 18th Dynasty did to Ahkenaten's name.St. Lucas' Lutheran, Old South End
