Downtown Toledo

I believe this might be a merchant marine training ship. Can't think of any other reason for it to have been tied up behind an office complex.

Lasalle and Koch Department Store, Downtown Toledo

Built in 1917, from a design by Starrett and Van Vleck, of New York.
It's an apartment building, now, with a restaurant and a market on the ground floor.

Very Odd

I often watch the sunset.
Consequently, I'm usually aware of the direction I'm facing, no matter where I am.
I just took these. They're facing almost due south. There was no red at all to the west.

Summit Center, Downtown Toledo

Built in 1992. The little pavilions at the corners are a good touch.

Walbridge Park, Toledo

The Glendale Avenue Overlook.
The small spot at the right, a bit more than halfway to Delaware Island, is my particular friend the heron. He's always messing about in that neighborhood.
The Maumee is at its widest here.

Along the Maumee

Wildflowers, et al, in the Old South End.

Downtown Toledo

Demolition of a rather pedestrian building for the new sports arena. Only two buildings of any real interest are being destroyed, and they're no great loss.
